On the afternoon of October 17, 2021, a sharing and exchange meeting was grandly held at the Shenzhen office of Taihe Tai Law Firm, organized by the Shenzhen Alumni Association of Yangtze University and co organized by the Legal Branch of the Shenzhen Alumni Association. Alumni from all levels of the Shenzhen Alumni Association of Yangtze University gathered together to exchange and learn.



Lawyer Ye Xiujin, Vice President of the Beijing Alumni Association of Yangtze University, Vice President of the Shenzhen Alumni Association and President of the Legal Branch of Yangtze University, Supervisor of the Education Development Foundation of Yangtze University, and Director of Guangdong Desai Law Firm, attended the exchange meeting.



Firstly, the attending alumni gave brief self introductions, including their academic experiences, practicing law firms, and career directions.



The conference invited five alumni to share themes from different perspectives and directions of the legal profession. Lawyer Ye Xiujin, as the first guest speaker to share, shared the theme of "Experience and Skills of Acting in Civil and Commercial Dispute Cases - Taking a Case of Acting in a Supreme Court Retrial as an Example".



Lawyer Ye Xiujin has accepted the commission of * * Warehouse Management Group Co., Ltd. to represent it in disputes over financial loan contracts and movable property pledge supervision agreements with * * Bank Co., Ltd. Wuhan Branch and other institutions. He is dissatisfied with the second instance civil judgment made by the Hubei Provincial High People's Court and applies to the Supreme People's Court for retrial. The retrial application was filed and accepted by the Supreme People's Court on May 25, 2018, On August 24, 2018, the Supreme People's Court issued a ruling instructing the Hubei Provincial Higher People's Court to conduct a retrial after review. The Higher People's Court of Hubei Province made a retrial judgment on October 30, 2020, revoking the original first and second instance judgments, supporting the applicant's request for retrial, and successfully safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the client.



Taking this case as an example, Lawyer Ye shared with alumni the entire process from contact with the case, formal acceptance of commission, investigation and evidence collection, execution, criminal prosecution, retrial application, and retrial judgment. He summarized the successful experience of handling the case, how to improve case handling skills, and how to develop the core competitiveness and professionalism of lawyers.



After the theme sharing, alumni enthusiastically spoke up and expressed that they had gained a lot.
